As evidence of East Harding’s ability to be very cost competitive, when lump-sums bids were opened for this project at the Farmington School District, East Harding’s bid was the lowest among the eleven local and regional construction firms competing for the project. However, East Harding’s cost competitiveness did not mean service and quality would be compromised.   Both the District and the Project Architect have commended East Harding for the personal attention, thoroughness, and quality with which this project has been completed — on schedule, despite 47 weather days, and on budget.

The 74,819 sf facility included a 600-Seat Performing Arts Center with Surround Sound, Practice Rooms for Band, Choir & Drama, a Sound Control Room, 1,600 Seat Basketball/Volleyball Area with Locker Rooms for Varsity & Junior Varsity, a Concession Area, Offices for Coaching Staff & a Weight Training Area.

LRSD’S Chicot Elementary kicked off the new school year sporting a new front entryway and extensive interior renovations that included adding approx. 322 sf of office space.

The new space was utilized for an updated Nurse’s Station, Principal/Asst. Principal offices, Secretary Area, Conference Room & a Copy Room.

Classes were able to start on time as scheduled.

Phase I was the construction of the new 56,000 square foot middle school for the Dollarway School District, now Pine Bluff School District.   Phase II, was the renovation of the gym & cafeteria; demolition of two existing buildings, the addition of new bus & parent routes, new parking, & a new sports practice field.

We were able to bid the project & reduce the cost of construction to 10% under budget.

East Harding, the Construction Manager of Record for the Pine Bluff School District, has performed projects over multiple campuses including Southwood Elementary, Jack Robey High, Dollarway & Pine Bluff High School to name a few.

Our project work includes football stadium renovations, gym floor replacement, roof replacement/repairs, new HVAC installation, power washing, restroom additions & painting.

HVAC Upgrade & Tornado Repair

Originally scheduled to upgrade the HVAC system, East Harding Construction stepped up on a moments notice to repair the unexpected damage from a  tornado on an early Friday morning.

The storm & subsequent tornado tore roofs off in some areas and rolled them back like tin foil in others.  It demolished much of the athletics field facilities including fences & backstops.  The gym roof was ripped open and the floor and walls were damaged.

East Harding Construction had the school in the dry and back open for classes the following Monday. Since that time, we have completed every project for the District.

Flooring & Renovations

The replacement of 200,000 SF of flooring in 4 separate classroom buildings, plus 8-classroom and 4-restroom renovations in 10-weeks.  East Harding also managed the moving company that emptied every classroom, stored off-site and reinstalled.

District-Wide Renovations, Site Improvements and Re-Roofing

East Harding has renovated the auditorium, classrooms, cafeteria and sports facilities, and has repaired or re-roofed multiple buildings.
