CareLink Respite Center and Kitchen

June 11th was the grand opening for the CareLink Peggy and Joe Hastings Respite Center – a Meals-On-Wheels kitchen and Eldercare day facility. The 20,000 sf renovation of the former grocery store includes 7,500 sf kitchen facilities with 2 freezers, refrigerator, dry storage, et al. The Center also provides a multi-purpose room, a dining room, office space, laundry. The new kitchen is designed to prepare 5,000 meals a day – 5 times the amount of the former kitchen.

CareLink helps homebound older Arkansans receive services that allow them to stay at home as long as possible, avoiding more costly care. CareLink also helps active older people stay fit, healthy and involved with senior centers, wellness programs, and volunteer opportunities. Located at 2100 Pike Ave, North Little Rock, the new facility is contributing to the revitalization of the Baring Cross area of North Little Rock.
