Tinkerfest 2017, an event hosted by the Museum of Discovery, had an incredible turn out this year.  Hundreds of children made their way through the River Market District on Saturday visiting booth after booth of “tinker” opportunities.  Each booth offered a “hands on” learning experience with a variety of construction and mechanical functions.

East Harding sponsored a booth to teach the kids about P-traps and plumbing, which was a big hit since the kids were able to scoop up cups of green colored water and pour them into standing pipes with P-traps demonstrating how the P-trap retains water and blocks sewer gas from escaping into a home or building.

A special thanks to Mason McBroom, Asst. Project Manger-East Harding Construction, who coordinated and helped man East Harding’s presentation at Tinkerfest this year.  We would also like to thank all of our volunteers who helped make this event such a success!
